Data Integration
A postdoctoral associate will conduct database and application programming in the areas of scientific data management for key cyberinfrastructure projects (BIRN and Telescience). The candidate will support the design, development, and deployment of a specialized architecture for federating scientific data, and support the design and development of key database engines as well as the programmatic interfaces to connect these engines with a myriad collection of client interfaces and tools. Networking for Visualization
A postdoctoral associate is sought to research and develop technologies to streamline the integration of leading edge networking technologies with Grid/Web services based software architectures. The candidate will support large scale projects at the interface of biology and computer science (e.g., BIRN and Telescience), engineering the integration of advanced, lambda-based next generation networking technologies with these projects. Cell Biology
A postdoctoral position is available to examine the distribution and dynamics of excitable membrane channels and related proteins. The candidate will make extensive use of novel molecular probes (FP and tetracysteine motifs) and imaging approaches to examine the targeted proteins in cultured cells and in vivo systems.
